Whats the use case of these? Home use? Shops?

    • Hey there, you can use it either at home or in your business. The package comes with instructions on how to use the test. If you have any questions about the tests you can check our FAQ page

  • +9

The current advise is, if the RAT is positive, you need to get a PCR test. If it’s negative, but you have symptoms, you should also get a PCR test. If anything, it’s completely useless for the home environment as 1. You won’t test yourself if you have no symptoms, and 2. If you have symptoms, you’ll need to get a PCR test no matter what the results are from these kits.

Picks up the A symptomatic cases

      • How do you know to test yourself if you're asymptomatic?

        • +1

You need a negative test for travel regardless, not that these home crapola tests are accepted.

          • @King Steuart: Perhaps, in time, only a rapid test at the airport will be required.

        • If you went to a crowded indoor function it might be worth using a test such as this even if asymptomatic.

          • @Eeples: Compared to going to a test site? Only use I can see of this is if it's out of hours and you feel you need to test yourself and can't wait for them to open tomorrow.

        • Routine tests 3 times per week.

          • @Bernie inn: Massive expense for very little risk unless you are a front line worker in VIC (in which case, is there not mandatory tests to be done anyway? Always used to be at least here)

Guess $30 a week for an otherwise free service you have to use anyway if positive or have symptoms is worth it to some.

            • @pennypincher98: Yes you are absolutely correct, the Uk pharmacies give them out free so people can test. Not here though, so i have no idea what the uptake for buying these will be, very low I would guess

              • @Bernie inn: These feel a lot like cashing in on the vulnerable who mightn't be able to get to a testing site (which they'll have to anyway) or the COVID phobic people (for which there is a third booster shot)

After all the money the government has spent and continues to throughout the pandemic, this was too much for them?

    • But what if you're asymptomatic?

      Edit: Jinx :)

    • Tempted to get some in a few months. I'm pretty anxious about having my baby at the end of January with the state being open to all comers. Might get visitors who travel around a lot to take a test. Not to mention that my parents live in one of the lowest vaccinated areas in Queensland.

    • lots of people with hayfever aren't going to get a test

    • +1

yep, not sure why you would buy one …..get vaccinated ….. and if you feel i’ll get tested at a testing centre ……the waiting lines are non existent at the ones near me in melbourne, and if says you are negative and you still feel ill, you will still seek medical advice even if it’s not covid ……
