They just scan the barcode from your phone and a discount is applied, I don't believe it tells them anything about where you locked in. Occasionally they will remark on the saving amount if it's significant though…

I don't even use the app. I have the barcode saved in Stocard. I just scan it before paying without saying anything and the discount applies.
Store attendants rarely give a f*** as long as people are paying what it shows on their computer after scanning the barcode.

I was filling up at 156 for a long time when prices were 201. One of the local 7 eleven kept it low for a long time. They have gone up too since then. No one ever asked me why I was saving $30 for a full tank every time

Which part doesn't work? I have no issues using ifakelocation on the latest iOS.
I use Ifakelocation to set the coordinates with my iPhone connected to Mac, and it still locks from my local area. But if I plug my ancient old iPad mini in, it works perfectly.
@Heybargain: Maybe I need to put something on the iPhone or change a setting. Been a long time since I set this up on the iPad.

So strange. I put these coordinates in, and it's getting the best local price from 'Wendouree' at 169.9…
Copy the coordinates from refinery. Super easy to use.
@gosund: Haha now I feel like an idiot.. there's something wrong with my iFakelocation then because it's not setting properly. Wendouree was my last lock.
This is my first time trying it on a Mac, I don't get percentage bar like you do on Windows after clicking 'Set Fake Location' so something is wrong. Just worked perfectly on my Windows PC.

There may be answer to this already but is 7-11 98 in Vic from the same refinery as BP 98? Which means they are the exact same fuel just that the wholesaler is different?

My car runs a little better on BP 95 than 7/11 98 and much better than 7/11 95.
It's a crap euro, but the difference is noticeable.
I mostly do 7/11 because the price is cheap with locks.
In what quantifiable way does it run "better"?
Would you be 100% confident which fuel your car was running on if you did a double blind test and you didn't know which fuel was in it? (Obviously you'll say yes to this, as you believe there is a "noticable" difference… But it would be an interesting experiment)
Check AIP publications, to verify the commentary and claimed sources of fuel (I have and can tell you from what I read, that comment checks out but for your own sake do it for yourself)

No way to fake location on the mobile, new 7-11app says "detect your location isn't true"

There is a forum thread with more pages than the encyclopedia, start there. TL:DR it's extremely difficult to fake it now. I just use Costco nowadays, always 20-30c cheaper than the locals here.
