  • rather keen, can anyone comment on the quality of these?

    • Works great for us. Have been using it for corn and skewers.

    • Pretty good for the price. Bought mine almost same time last year and it works well for grilling food for 2ppl, might be a bit small for family use. Super efficient use of charcoal too!

Don't let them get wet as they crack easily when wet. They can get very hot if you put a lot of charcoal in them; I would put a stone or paver underneath it if using on a table. Otherwise pretty fun for $50. I've got a few cracks in mine but have used about 20 times (never got it wet). Worth it but treat it nicely

  • Just read the reviews
    Doesn't look like durable unfortunately

Better to invest in Weber Go Anywhere
You can get from gumtree around $50 secondhand
Or new around $120 on sales

  • kinda related but, the son-of-hibachi i got from this deal in 2008 is still going strong.

we use it a handful of times a year, so not very heavy usage, but it hasn't skipped a beat. the snuff-out bag is looking a bit beaten up but it still does the job.

Ozbargainer since 2008 = Give this man a medal, or six.

Looks great, but doesn't look like they're being sold anymore, and a quick Google didn't find my anything similar (i.e. foldup with bag that it can be put in hot)

  • Still haven't used mine from last year XD
