US Parcel Forwarding Service Bargain!!

Hey does anyone know if there are any US parcel forwarding service promotions going on atm? I'm looking to get some Tommy Hilfigure Pullovers and they're crazy expensive in Australia (Berkinhead point was promoting a summer clearance and they basically were discounting 130 jumpers to 120. They had 25% off a small range of shirts and that was it -_-)

Anyways Amazon sell pullover I want for 40 bucks but they wont ship it to australia! And forwarding is crazy expensive without any promotions going on! I've had bad experiences before so do you guys have any promotional codes that you could recommend?

  • Check out USTOOZ http://www.ustooz.com/ - They were recommended in a post here not long ago. Their fees for forwarding parcels seem very reasonable, at 4.5 per cent of the purchase price (with a minimum fee of $12,) and they only charge for the actual price of shipping to you.

I'm currently in the process of organising my first shipment through them, so can't comment yet on the end result.

  • I've used shipito.com before and they were fine.

i've used shipito and i wouldn't use them again… they kept upping the delivery fee and demanding more money. They essentially held my package as ransom.

    • +1 for shipito

myus.com has an american express promotion that saves you fees and discount on postage. worth checking out.

    • It seems if you don't have amex though they charge a $20 set up fee? They claim their shipping costs are discounted, but having done a few comparisons over the last couple of weeks, this doesn't appear to be the case. They're pretty much on a par with anywhere else.

      • If you use AMEX to pay for the shipping, you get further discounted prices.

        • Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying.

      • Quick question please - apart from the set up fee, and the postage cost, do they have any other charges? I'm sure they must, but I could not find them on their site.

        • The postage cost is the killer as is. They make money from having discount rates with their shipping agent, and from not consolidating your packages and charging you an insane amount

          They claim they DO consolidate.

If someone had the money and the inclination it would be interesting to do a side-by-side comparison of the various services out there to find the best of them.

        • Nah i've used a shipping service before and they said they couldn't consolidate it. They refused to and were holding my packages at ransom. When I received it I found that if I had consolidated it, I would've cut down the delivery charge by half…which is why I'm trying to find one which isn't dodgy.

        • Doey, was that myus.com, or another?

        • Myus always consolidates, use them all the time, no problems.

  • Check out what the Amazon.de price is for these clothes. They will ship far more items than Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk - so if the price is good, and they will ship these, they might be a better bet.

    • Oh I wonder if they will ship it! Its simply because Amazon.com won't ship these clothes outside of the US :\ so ill have to get it forwarded :(

I have used www.boxvoyage.com multiple times and have been very very happy, it's a small family run business

  • For those who have already used a forwarding service, what form of post service do you usually opt for? The shipping cost goes through the roof with tracking, but for someone not used to having items posted from overseas, it seems like madness not to have it?

    • Always USPS

    Reship.com

$5 plus actual postage cost. $5 sign up.

They're on the East Coast (closest to AU) in a state with no sales tax.

    Too easy, too cheap.
