Just wanted to highlight , although I haven't tried it myself, if you're looking for cheap tofu litter Kmart has just started selling it here - 2.4kg for $6

Hopefully they know where their soy beans came from, and not from deforesting rainforest. Maybe it’s byproduct from soy milk production. Maybe I should read the product description. Nah cbf.
I bought this for my cat before and it's not a very good soy litter. The litter doesn't clump as fast and stays wet and mush for a while. Also, doesn't seem to reduce the odour at all.
In comparison the coles soy litter clumps very well and odour prevention is very good too.
That's odd, it covers up the scent of Tom cat pee pretty well, which was unbearable using regular clay litter
But he's always been good at burying it so that might only be an issue if it's left at the surface, found it takes 10-15 mins to clump well
Give the coles Soy litter a try for comparison. I found that far better. I was really looking forward to this litter working well because then I could just order discounted ones from Amazon but sadly I was disappointed
Down to $3.5 a bag from Amazon AU, can't really go wrong
Found it's less dusty than Kmart Tofu litter, and our cat would rather go on the floor (or bed…) than use anything scented, each bags lasts us about a month
waiting for lower price at $3-4.
