  • was subscriber only special a few night back cheaper deals from coles and woolies generally
like to be asian sourced batteries

    • +1

All Duracell single use batteries sold in Australia are made in China, regardless whether they go through the official importer (extra middleman to pay) or not.

These days, more than 50c each (delivered) for good quality alkalines is too much. $2 - $4 delivered gets you good LSD rechargeables that break-even after a few uses.

    • Agreed. Recheargeable batteries are the ultimate 'ozbargain' compared to single use cells.

For application where a full 1.5v is required and NiCd/NiMH cells won't do, try the new Nickel-Zinc cells. Not available from local retailers (yet) but easy to find online. Well priced too.
