Slow Mwave Delivery Times for "In Stock at Supplier" Goods?

So I've had quite the ordeal simply ordering some RAID cables that mwave had originally advertised as "In stock at supplier" that said the expected delivery time to get them in was 3-6 business days. Holy balls were they wrong…

I originally ordered the cables, an i9-10850k, and 128GB of RAM. After almost 3 weeks I got so fed up with them I cancelled the other 2 items that were in-stock (but were holding them until the cables arrived). I left the 2 Silverstone CPS-06 cables because they seemed to be the only place that sold them for a decent price at the time. I found these cables later on elsewhere for a cheaper price and they arrived in 3 days, but now i'm just leaving the order up to see just how long it takes mwave to get the cables from the supplier. Might be a waste of $70 but my curiosity has the better of me.

I made the order on October 8th and is now November 15th, every week I have messaged them they have given me the same response of "They are expected to arrive mid to end of this week" (yes same response the last 3 weeks in a row). Now it's been 4 days since their last response and they seem to not be replying to me anymore.

Anyone else had issues with mwave and their acquisition of items from suppliers? Let me know! I'll Leave a transcript of my ticket below.

We are currently waiting on 2xSilverStone CPS06 0.6m SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 Mini-SAS Cable to be recieved from our supplier. Once we have received the stock, we are able to dispatch the order for you.

Guys, 20 days have passed now… (14 business days) and it's still showing you are waiting on stock. I need my order. Your store page for the cables say it usually ships in 3-6 business days…. bit off on your estimation there!

You know what, whatever, just cancel my order and refund the CPU and RAM, I'll keep the cables on order as this seems to be the only place I can get them right now, but I want a refund for the rest of it.

Hit the 1 month mark since ordering btw… that 3-6 day wait time originally advertised lookin real shady. I have a business requirement for these cables and this delivery time is outright atrocious. Get on the phone to whoever you need to to get this sorted or I'm never using mwave for business procurement again.

    You may not be aware but there's huge global logistics issues and that may affect their supplier sending products to them too. I'm still waiting on a game from Melbourne to Sydney that was posted 6 weeks ago. It happens.

    Their service has been getting slower for years so it's not all covid. The bigger they've grown the slower they've become and the worse their customer service has been.

  • I've been purchasing stuff from MWave for my company for about a decade. There's always been an ebb and flow with customer service, delivery times and pricing. Sometimes it's great, then averagem then… why am I even buying stuff at this site? The random number generator on their shipping costs has become slightly more predictable in recent years, but still I generally avoid them. Back in the days when I had an account they would send random parts of an order and just cancel the rest without even informing me.

    One day they just cancelled my account and said I need to be spending $5k a month with them to have one, so I just stopped buying from them. There's much more reliable suppliers with better pricing. I haven't missed them at all.
