Balcony Plant Growing in My Balcony

I've got this plant growing out the side of my balcony. I've ignored it mostly I kinda like it, but it does seem to be growing and I'm worried about it compromising the structural integrity of my balcony.

Should I be worried? Also how's the best way to get rid of it?

Looks like a normal ficus. Can’t see the base but cut the stem, let roots dry out and clean up.

    • i think he is right…

i wouldn't keep that one, if you want to relocate it into a pot and place on your balcony, ficus have invasive roots.

    • Poison it as well.

  • Looks like you got a vertical garden going there, it's a new trend for gardens nowadays :)

Yes you should be worried. Get the body corp to remove it as it will damage the brickwork and cause water to get behind the first layer of bricks.

  • Moreton bay fig maybe. If you do leave it you can eat the fruit for a free meal. Not very tasty though.
