Credit Cards for 2022 - Points Collecting

Keen to see what FF points most people might be chasing heading in to 2022 and current deals on Cards.
I usually check pointhacks and a few other sites for their recommendations but have seen a few other sites via here as well.

Myself, i'll be aiming to ramp up a Qantas point balance for 2022 and ditching my Velocity cards soon (Amex) and trying to get through the lengthy wait to re-sign up for another bonus in 12/18mths etc.

Aiming to use up the Qantas bonus 20k points mentioned in here the other day and then maybe cycle 3-4 cards throughout 2022.

I get a new card every 2mths or so. If there's no QFF I don't mind Velocity - I still have about 600k velocity and we'll be able to use them for international/domestic flights.
You need an option 'both QFF and Velocity'

yep both .. flip flop between whichever card gives the best points regardless who they are and focus on low or no annual fees

Yeah I thought about doing more frequent card swapping but there's always something in the background making me think it's gonna impact me somehow but I'm not chasing loans or anything so prob shouldn't or won't matter..

I'd flip in a both but wanted to see which is more favored between the two.

      • When it comes to important loans like home loans, your credit score doesn't hold as much weight as it does when you apply for unsecured credit like a credit card

        So churn away I say

      • As long as you can meet the required minimum spend (along with the annual fees), you can churn as often as you like.

Not sure if churning has much adverse effect as I refinanced my loans in 2020 despite having churned three times.
The banks were more interested in what my total credit limits were across my active cards.

        • ditto same situation - didn't care about my ridiculous churn history just how many cards I had and what their limits were

        • This is correct. My citibank premier $30K limit makes me unable to apply for any other credit cards.

I like the part where the bank gives me free stuff

  • Stick with my woolies card for 10% off shops a month haha

  • virgin for me, pending the return of the velocity / KF transfers as previously reported on pointhacks

  • Both.. Maybe 1 will be enough to get you to your destination. The other for the return..

I've already booked plenty of redemptions for next year
