Evaporative Aid Con - Breezair Supercool Vs Bonaire Pinnacle?

Good afternoon OzB,

Wanted to check if anyone has experience with these 2 products? Both seem quite similar at the top end of Evap cooling and am torn on which one to go with.

Learning towards the Breezair which will be a few hundred $$ more, but seems to have a couple better quality of life features, mainly wifi control & quieter fan.

Bonair is Aus made and supposedly better in our climate.

Thanks!

Breezeair is also Australian made isn't it?
I even think they're made in the same factory in Adelaide as Bonaire.

EDIT: No, Seeley make Breezeair at Lonsdale, Bonaire are made at Salisbury… both suburbs of Adelaide, but one is South, the other North.

This Whirlpool albeit dated thread seems appropriate

  • Breezair was Aus made 20 years ago when we bought one. FWIW it was excellent, only struggled with strings of 40C, or in humid conditions. SA is typically dry heat.
We chose on the basis of drum fan vs axial and that all industrial ones were drum at the time. it was about ten years old when we moved and still operating well. I used a cover when not in use (6 months of year)
from current website "Manufacturing operations in Lonsdale (South Australia), Albury (New South Wales), Denver (Colorado) and West Sacramento (California)"
    .

  • I have the EXS220, which is about 3 years old. My other house has the Brivis Contour. The Supercool is quiet and seems fine. No problems so far. No issues with excessive dampness, contrary to what you might read online. Evaps are pretty simple things, and won't work well on humid days. I have a few splits to use on the more humid days.
