I received an email from Amazon about 1 day sale, Roku 2 XS 1080p Streaming Player at 80 AUD where normal price is at 100 AUD(90 AUD including shipping). Pretty good deal I guess. It works in Australia according to some folks at whirlpool forums.

    some services are limited on the roku which work without a US vpn like crackle.com but to work with hulu plus and netflix you will need a vpn

    For hulu plus its much harder than just a vpn you also need a US credit card and its hard finding a prepaid one that works with hulu as they keep banning them.

    I have had the roku xds and now also have the roku 2 working with strongVPN netflix, hulu+, Amazon instant video

      Thanks Strat for sharing experience. What would be the recommended VPN service to get Hulu plus? I used to use hotspotshield (free) on pc for hulu snd it worked but i haven't tried with paid VPN services. I am more keen on free channels but still have to be tested.

        VPN is not mandatory. This DNS services are adequate to watch them all. Hulu plus is difficult only because of it's payment method. It does not take prepaid visa or. Any card from overseas.

        Try unblock-us.com for free (1week). And subscribe to netflix(1month free).

      The last post mentions that the Roku2 accepts 100-240v. didnt mention which roku 2 model but im guessing they are all the same.
