  I love Plecos. Juz sayin. Right up there with 'whip-tail' catfish. Aaaar what the hell, here's my list of faves, in no particular order (I love them all) … and I'm including loaches, which I love even more than catfish:

  weather loach (so sad, these iconic symbols of my youth have long been illegal to sell in Australia :-[ )
  spiny (nosed) eel (awesome spots on the tail, cool habit of burying themselves with just their head poking out!)
  kuhli loach (officially the hardest fish to catch in an aquarium! … I once grew one to 8 cm; one of my proudest achievements in life)
  Plecos
  whip-tail catfish (anyone managed to grow a big one of these?)
  upside-down catfish
  eel-tail catfish (so peaceful!)
