  When most retailers are claiming "sale $500 off" and promoting the exact same price for this phone, is it really a deal? Maybe the phone was jacked (by Samsung) and is currently sitting on its normal price.

  The Flip3 looks cool, but has poor battery life, no SD card slot, and no headphone jack. It also can't easily flip open with one hand. The new flip phones need to bring back the spring-loaded button hinge like the old flip phones. I had an LG flip phone years ago with a button on hinge. It also blinked a green light when closed if I had messages. I could glance from across room at phone to see if I had a message. I miss that. Now with all "smart" phones you need to actually interact with them to see if you have a message.

    I notice the price has jumped back up to around the $1500 mark across all retailers who ran this deal. Shows my remark wasn't accurate, and the deal was pretty good while it lasted. I'm guessing the price will come back down again before too long.
