Glorious GMMK 75 Pro Barebones Keyboard (Black/White) $199 Delivered @ PC Case Gear

550

Popular custom mechanical keyboard at a great price and free delivery. I’ve been eyeing this for a while and it’s probably the first price drop since release.

Comes with no keyboard switches or key caps so is a great entry to custom mech keyboards

I don't think that "typing" is a hobby for most people.

      • +6

Keyboard building is though - definitely an expensive hobby

    • +2

Whatever floats your boat. Some people buy $1000 graphics cards or 80" televisions and I think that's kinda weird. :P

      • Would love to find a graphics card under $1000.

        • I'm sure it's not what you actually mean but you can get 3060s under $900

    • Unfortunately it's such a popular item so the price will probably not drop further

    • +4

You know you don't have to comment on something that you have no idea about right?

    • +1

Well, the non-discounted price was $269.

  • Good buy.

Awesome price and though it gets so much hate because it doesn't fall in to the elite 2 year wait group buy boards, I love mine!

    • Same here, great keyboard, I absolutely love it.

    • +1

Ain't that the truth. "What! You didn't get the group buy-in for a keyboard that potentially won't come out for a year? What are you? Normal?!"

    • Hate from where? From what I’ve seen most people praise the GMMK Pro and Keychain Q1 for being relatively high end but still being in-stock instead of GB

It has its problems but I can’t say I’ve seen much criticism that isn’t justified

      • KB groups. They'll recommend anything and everything over the GMMK pro because of stabs, flex and just because it's "mainstream GMMK" . Throw some c3 stabs in it and it's really good. As far a flex goes, I don't like to type on a trampoline.

  • Have they stopped selling through their ebay store? Marked as away till today, but still nothing there

  • +3

Personally won't be buying just because i don't want to go down that rabbit hole, 100% a deal though.

    • Same boat - I'd love to get one, but I've previously fallen quite deep

I wouldn't suggest this as an entry to mech boards, because there are so many other products nowadays that perform a similar function at a lower price (e.g. all your GK61s, even non-pro GMMK). Glorious is dipping its toes in moreso the enthusiast market again here.

Nevertheless, this is a pretty sweet deal imo - great work OP :)

Not again! Already broke with Keychron Q1, saving for Q2, and now this? Oh my wallet…

    • This is where I am at - I want that Q1 with the encoder but this is staring me in the face.

      • idk when they gonna release the Q1 knob-only addon or the new Q1 with knob version, so better off with GMMK for now, and this is cheaper!

  • How's the stabs on these? Some says it's over lubed and really hard to mod these gmmk pro compared to q1. I have been debating these 2 vs kbd75 lite

    • +1

I got one about 6 months ago. Stabs were over-lubed and sticky, but I followed the instructions on their site for a 'fix' and all works well now (https://www.pcgamingrace.com/blogs/secret-announcement/stick…). I gather they have rectified the issue in later batches.

It's my first foray into anything resembling 'enthusiast' (I came form a full-sized standard mechanical gamer slab), but I absolutely love the GMMK Pro. Good keycaps are widely available on AliExpress too.

  • +1

well $340 later I'm now waiting on board, switches and caps. woo

      welcome to the club!

For anyone who is interested in a cheaper option the TES68 from Nuphy is a great option, $20 USD plus shipping, one of the cheapest hotswap options out there.

GMMK Pro is still banger though

    • Any recommendations for a TKL or 75% like the GMMK Pro for cheap? Not a fan of the 68 key boards

  • trigger pulled, free delivery too

  • I bite the bullet and got the white ice one! Got some botanical keycaps clone from aliexpress! hopefully it turns out well. Thanks op

  • Just got my GMMK Pro from this deal.

But for those on the looks for Key switches. NovelKeys are running a sweet deal on the famous Creams and Silks. Really worth checking.

    • Link?

        • Thanks! Just checked it out, shipping was 70 usd haha

          • @Lax8: Haha I was tempted to get a few things until I realised the shipping was close to the price of the total of my items

            • @p947387: Wow! I paid 28$ in shipping. For a few sets of keys and other bits and pieces.

    • GMMK Pro has some non-standard length keys from memory - worth double checking to see which sets will be fully compatible.

  • I got one from pre-order a while ago. The stablizers are pretty sticky, so, with thick PBT keycaps, the space bar cannot even bounce back to the original position. In general, the build quality is solid, but tbh, the stablizer defintely runied it. It took me quite some time to fix the stablizers.

  • I also found the Keydous NJ80 which looks like a GMMK Pro copycat but is $190 here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002965980377.html

Comes fully assembled and seems to have good reviews if anyone's interested

  • Been waiting for a price drop - decided to go for this and cancelled Q1. Just need C3 stabs, got everything else.

    • Got NKs stabs and switches on this BF sale to complete the GMMK pro. :)

  • +1

Ordered and bought a Q1 keycap set to get me going (pccg Q&A said they were compatible…)

Didn't really like the Glorious PBT gradient sets.

Down the mech keeb rabbit hole we go!
