Help Me Choose between Google Pixel 6pro 256GB and Oppo Find X3 Pro 256GB

Black Friday sales are hitting with majority electronics deals to hit, if going by previous year sales. So brings out a good time to buy gadgets such as mobile phones..

Google's pixel 6 and 6 pro has just hit the shelfs and have taken the Android Market by storm however they have also been let down by rounds of discussions around bugs and instabilities found with the new tensor chipset, poor charging speeds etc.

On paper Find X3 pro and Google 6Pro are both flagship material, so would you select Find X3 pro over Google pixel 6 pro due to all the talk around the bugs with Pixel 6 pro? I am in the market to buy a flagship android phone around the $1000-1200 mark. Already have owned Samsung flagships before (currently own S20+ 5G) and want to avoid them unless they start selling Snapdragon chipset here in Aus instead of Exynos merely because of the poor performance and benchmarks received by Exynos over the years.

Edited - I am mainly looking to get a phone with a decent camera for day to day photography, can do a couple of hrs of gaming daily without lags and stutters (Games like COD, COC), without heating aswell, gives a decent battery backup to last a whole day with moderate usage (few hrs of gaming, music, YouTube, Instagram etc daily), can provide fast charging to charge full like in an hr. at max.. provide regular software and security updates for next few years (typically 2-3yrs).

Exynos has has it's ups and down over the years just like Snapdragon.
The Exynos 2100 in the S21's basically match the Snapdragon 888 performance unlike the S20 line up with the Exynos 990 they where so bad.

But still go the pixel 6 pro it's an amazing phone with the latest updates, love mine.

  • In my view:
    P6 +software +camera
    X3P +performance +hardware +fastcharge
    S21 +brightness +hardware +camera

You should buy a phone that has what you need and find more important to you and your use and focus on that like camera, screen time, radio, volume, updates, gpu, operating system.

  • One thing to be cautious of with "off" brands like Oppo is app compatibility.

I've been interested in trying out Magic and Diablo on my phone (Oppo A52) but can't install the apps - supposedly incompatible with my device.

  • Oppo have a service centre in Melbourne that can repair phones while you wait.

To me, this is enough to keep buying oppo phones.
