Looking for a Reliable Cordlesss Vacuum Cleaner

Hi OzB,

It's Black Friday and on Cyber Monday I have m first rental inspection coming up.

For context, I live in a shoebox - a tiny little studio apartment that can't be more than 15m2.

The living area is lined with short carpet and the kitchen/bathroom areas with grey tiles.

My last corded vacuum was old and trusty but it broke down completely after a good many years of use.

Now I'm looking at a reliable cordless vacuum I can get in store over the weekend (any major Australian retailer) preferably on sale, so I can get in touch with the modern world and also avoid any nasty comments from my rental manager. I'd prefer if it was more effective on carpet than tile as I usually just clean the tiles with a cloth and some tile cleaner.

My budget is anything under $400.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Any of the Dyson stick vacs will do you good. Had a Dyson corded vac which was fantastic but stick vac is so much easier as its battery operated.

    I have a Dyson V7 which i use every day since i got it in 2017.

    Replaced the battery on it recently for a 3rd party battery for $30 and its good as new again.

        Dyson offical website has it on sale for black friday for $399 at the moment with free shipping.

        Cheapest i've seen it is $379 though i haven't seen it for that price in a long while.

          Looking to buy in-store since I need it over the weekend, thanks heaps but it sucks that it's online only. That's just my shitty circumstances too. Thanks for the assist in any case, appreciate it.

    I'm considering the Kogan C10 for about $159 + shipping, though I am not a fan of Kogan in general.

    There is also the Prescenic P10 which is a little cheaper.

    Both have mixed reviews so am still unsure. Interested to know if anyone can say whether either are any good or not.

      Wow, thanks for the spot. Gonna check out this MYER deal and the Big W Dyson v7 Animal deal tomorrow. The animal one has an additional special vacuum brush head for $30 so gonna see what the difference is.
