I picked up the S21 from the Telstra deal. Before that I had various Android phones. When I take a video just using the Auto mode it was fine.
The videos from the S21 seem to be very soft. Even when I turn on the pro video mode and then choose the rear microphone and turn it up to the maximum is very soft.
For example usually I take videos of people sitting about 2 m away talking. Did my old phones I can play them back on the PC at Volume 30 and it sounds fine. On the Samsung my PC volume is at 80 and it still sounds a bit soft.
I'm wondering if it's something to do with my case or something else. where are the actual microphones when it says front and back microphone?

I don't know where the microphone is but I took the case off and held it by the sides where I couldn't see anything

ok seems like where I thought. not blocked from what I see.
Are you covering the microphone when you hold the phone? Have you tried testing a video with and without the case?
