Received an email from Shopback this morning, sharing it with fellow bubble tea lovers.

Looks like it is an app only deal so I can't link to the page directly, check your app and you should be able to see the deal. It is in selected store only and you have to go in store. Please check the terms and conditions in the app to make sure your purchase is eligible

How to see eligible stores (Thanks @codeXD for the instructions):

  1. Open shopback app
  2. tap on 'In-store' from the top menu (there is a beta logo next to it)
  3. Keep scrolling down and there'll be a section "Explore restaurants near you"

The app will ask for location permission somewhere in-between those steps.

Cashback Instructions from the Ad:
1. link a credit card with Shopback
2. click boost button on the selected store
3. use the credit card to purchase the bubble tea

    Mine has not tracked, even though it says "instant". Definitely activated boost before lunch, bought it at lunch on the credit card registered with Shopback, haven't been to that place before…..

    It is still showing as a 'pending' transaction on my credit card, I will wait till it is confirmed and put in a ticket if it doesn't track then.

    I received boost $6 straight away from promotion but on regular cashback 10% tracked it said you need to come back and purchased anything again to receive this regular cashback otherwise the cashback will be rejected. Is this mean l need to buy something again then welcome $5 bonus will be credit???

    Before purchase in store. I can see three welcome cashback from ShopBack app

    1.coffee
    2.Lunch
    3.Thread or Sweet ( couldn’t remember but bubble tea included)

    Once you purchased these three all welcome bonus disappeared from the app. I thought there are three different types so three different welcome bonus cashback. Anyone know about this fact???

        They have removed the bubble tea venues now for the first time bonus for my location although they were there earlier. So I guess you can only choose one or the other where I am at least.

        It says "choose a welcome gift" and if you click a category (coffee, lunch or treat), the banner says "new in store customers only, customers only qualify for one 100% boosted offer"

        So it's just one. And capped at $5.

        I feel like the welcome offer should be used first seeing as it is for new customers only, whereas the bubble tea offer is for both new and existing

    I went to the bubble tea store and they charged me $0.20 to may payment by credit/debit card. A $7 drink became $7.20.

      I'm also with CBA and my purchase also didn't track instantly. But I did notice in Shopback at the bottom of the page for the particular shop I bought the drink from, it has under the Terms & Conditions "Commonwealth Basnk cards might a a few days to track at this outlet". So I will wait and see.

          My cashback from last night's bubble tea purchase from CoCo has tracked. Normal cashback plus the bonus $6. So less than 24 hrs for the tracking to appear at least.

      You can see the full menu from shopback app. Cheapest one I can see from my local CoCo is Fresh Milk Tea (M) $4.5.

          Obviously best to verify the price once you are in store.

          I would try to spent at minimum $6 for this deal as as I'm not sure if you'll get the full $6 back if you spent less.

    Just checked my app and it is saying:

    Make an in-store payment at this brand by 28 Feb 2022 to confirm this Cashback

    So while the $6 has tracked, looks like I will need to make subsequent visits to claim the 10% cashback. Like the KFC survey which forces you to go back and make a purchase to claim free food.

      Didn't notice that before. But yes you're right, the normal 10% cashback will turn from Pending to Confirmed on subsequent visit only within the next 4 months.. Guess I won't be getting that $0.70 cashback.

      You should get an email or app notification when it is tracked. Alternatively, you can see the cashback history on the website or in the app

      Tracking for me was within seconds of order. Tracked before I even got my drink. Just make sure to boost and use the card listed in the app.

        Thanks. I already boosted it a couple days back when I saw the deal, I'm going this afternoon to get the milk tea tho. I've seen that some are lucky and get it tracked immediately while others have to wait a bit. I hope I'll be lucky then :)

    Boosted the store (Coco wolli creek), have my ING debit card linked to Shopback, waited 5 min then paid using apple pay of the same equivalent card, no instant tracking. Hope it tracks eventually and I didn't just buy a bubble tea for nothing??

      Double check the card you used is the same card listed in "Your eligible in-store payment methods:"

      Have a read of this and make sure you didnt order through EFTPOS.

      If everything checks out, contact the rep.

    Update: I lodged a missing cashback request after no tracking or cashback received, after a few weeks they did come good and credited me the $6.
