    Yeah I couldn't stand the slideshow FPS of the demo.

    Decent deal but I'd still recommend waiting for a similar sale on steam instead.

      Did you play docked or handheld?
      I'm mostly a docked player so can deal with it if it's mostly a handheld issue.

        I'm 100% docked also, which I've heard generally has poorer performance. No idea how it played handheld.

      It's difficult because I love having the option of playing these long, sometimes grindy, JRPGs on a handheld. I think that's why so many people are excited for the Steam Deck, you get the best of both worlds.

        There's the demo you can check out for yourself also if you were still curious, even the opening cutscenes were pretty jaggy and offputting to give you a quick idea.

  It appears to be the "early purchase" edition. Is that different than the HN version? Perhaps explains gameplay issues?

  Got it this time round, thanks OP. I'd ordered it for $59 on Monday expecting that to be the lowest it got for a long time, so this was a shock. Was able to cancel the original order so it's all peaches and gravy now.
