Whiskas Singles Cat Food packs are selling for 4 for $2.00 (working out at 50c each) at GO-LO until April 11th. Normal price is 69c each at GO-LO but Coles and Woolies usually sell them for about 91c each.
Works out much cheaper than the 24 packs at Coles and Woolies, and because they are individual packs you're not stuck with lots of flavours the cat doesn't like.

Cans are definitely much cheaper, but unfortunately my cats won't touch them. I used to buy the cans years ago, but one day they just refused to eat them. They must have changed the ingredients, because the contents of the can started to STINK. When opening it, there was a definite bad odour. The smell was making me sick, but the individual packs still smelt fine.
I've since talked to six other people at the supermarket who found the same thing. Their cats used to eat the cans, but now won't touch them. Every few months I buy another can to try again (when they're on special) but the smell from the can makes ME feel sick, so I'm not surprised the cats won't go near it. They look at me like I'm trying to poison them.
I should probably contact the manufacturer and see what the deal is, why they are so different despite saying they have the same stuff inside, but I rarely have luck contacting manufacturers, I just waste hours on hold or waiting for generic responses in the mail. It's easier to just buy a different brand or product.
From memory the cans are packaged in a different country to the individual sachets. One factory might use dead horses, the other uses dead rabbits or kangaroos or something like that.

i rescued my cat from the animal shelter and he would eat ANYTHING. but it seems now he has a taste for human food and won't touch normal cat food unless its branded cat food. ha.
LOL I think we all can learn is if we can't eat it why should we expect our pets too.
