Gerni Classic 110.1 PC High Pressure Cleaner Plus Attachments for $199

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Hey everyone i found this at my local bunnings store and thought it was an absolute bargain! for $199 you get the 1.4KW pressure cleaner, foam lance(The best way to wash your car without scratching it and causing swirl marks), patio cleaner and a turbo nozzle. I have already bought it and used it and can confirm it works well. As far as i can tell, there isn't another store selling it for this price.

  • Is this the normal price?

    • Yes but it is still cheaper than everywhere else when they are on special :s

Normal price….maybe not a bargain then!!

        • If you can find one cheaper than this with all these attachments, then please let us know.

        • +1

so we should list make a listing for the cheapest place to buy every type of product on the planet even if it's the normal everyday price??

        • +2

No i am just saying i did some research on finding a good value for money pressure washer and found this one to be the best, I thought I would share it. Not everything has to be on "special" for it to be a bargain.

        • Since it's the normal price and not really a "Bargain"/super special, maybe it belongs in the forum, not on the front page.

  • +1

Is it better than the 110.2? 'cause Super Cheap Hardware has that for $179 and their tech specs on the Gerni site are identical except for the dimensions and weight.

EDIT The only major difference seems to be the accessories. The 110.1PC includes a patio cleaner accessory (hence the PC at the end).

    • Also this one has an extra 5 psi pressure.. so i would go with this one.

      • Where did you see that? They've got identical power usage/rating, water flow and pump pressure… so that makes no sense.

        • This one has 1600psi according to the bunnings website and 1595psi according to the sca website http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/PRESS…

        • +1

          Wow. A 0.3% difference.

        • -1

It is still more pressure than the one at sca and is way more better value for money!

        • I'm guessing it's a mistake in the specs of one of them. If you've got identical water flow and compressor, the pressure is identical.

        • It's .3% more for $20 extra. Depending what attachments you need, the $179 could be deemed better value.

        • Where does it say it is $20 less Smigit?

        • EDIT: Yes Smigit I see what you are talking about and yes, this one from bunnings has the extra patio cleaner which is worth more than $20, but like you said it depends on whether you need it or not. No point in spending an extra $20 for something you are not going to use. Also the one at super cheap hardware is on sale whereas bunnings is not, so it will always be available at this price.

    • The patio cleaner is good, but just watch the height you use on softer concrete or you can look forward to 'donuts' on it.

The reason you can't find it cheaper elsewhere is it's not sold elsewhere, according to the Gerni site.

So a product only sold by Bunnings at it's normal price.

    shrug

(How do I know? The little "Only at Bunnings" part of the image on the Gerni website: http://www.gerni.com.au/Products/PressureWashers/ConsumerPre… )

  • I +1'd this and then found negative reviews… Take with a grain of salt but i'll be holding off now

    http://www.productreview.com.au/r/gerni-classic-110-1-110-2/…

    • Oh… well i have found it quite sturdy :S, maybe they got a bad batch… and it does come with a 2 year warranty as well so if it does break you could always get your money back.

  • Yep - it's a "Bunnings Only" model and $199 is the standard price.

  • I was at Bunnings looking at pressure washers yesterday and this ryobi caught my eye for $299. http://www.ryobi.com.au/Products/PressureWashers/PressureWas…
Problem is ryobi is exclusive to Bunnings so it may not be as good as it looks price wise.

    • If you are looking at those types of pressure washers then also consider this one http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/SCA-P…

      • Thanks for that. It seems the same power just whether I want to go for petrol or electric.
Anyone know the pros and cons of the two?

        • I Think the main thing is the electric one wouldn't require as much maintenance as the petrol one. The Petrol cleaner will at least need oil and a spark plug changed however the petrol is more portable than the electric, saves you from having to drag around an extension cord.

  • Do any do hot water as well?

    Lvl1Pro,

Appreciate the thought of sharing what you think is a good deal, but there is no clear bargain here. The price was, is, and will be the same. Perhaps it's better suited for the forums for discussion and as an FYI.
