Bought from these guys ebay store before, good delivery times - I believe they are Sydney based.

These appear to be the cheapest for game sellers in Australia and i'd rather not wait weeks for delivery from the UK.

  • Got my collectors for $139 in January from JB and EB (yes I bought two just in case one is delayed), but get on the collectors edition if you still can!

  • So it was $58.99 when I added it to my cart, then when I tried to pay it went up to $62.99? now on the website the price says $62.99 as well

    • Don't think you'll actually get one though! I ordered yesterday, order number about 400. Now they are up to order number 900. It wouldn't surprise me if it got posted elsewhere at this price and they have massively oversold stock. Only 400 orders implies the store is new and to generate significant sales quickly means that a lot of people are aware of a deal somewhere..

        I printed out the checkout page but also have it still in my checkout at work.
        Although I already have the CE pre-ordered, $111.99 is alot cheaper for a friend to buy it (or ozbargainer / OCAU'er) and save some money if I can still order it.

  • Just checked the prices standard edition is $59.99, CE is unchanged. I'm not sure where the lower price came from, congrats to anyone who got them!

    My order number was 4000 something when I originally ordered, also, there ebay username: game.wave has over 6,000 positive feedbacks so I don't think they're that new.

    This is the reply I got to my email:

    "Thanks for your email.

    I can confirm we will be receiving stock of this product between the 14-16th of May, we will be dispatching your item via Australia Post the same day we receive stock.

    If you have any further questions do not hesitate to email us."

      Anyway, doesnt matter I suppose.

        • Looked at their eBay listing and I think it's pretty sneaky of them to omit these details from their website when the description for both(website/eBay) is nearly identical.

          "Please note: We will be receiving stock between the 15-17th of May, it will take an additional 1-3 working days to receive your item after these dates. This is UK stock, it is NOT region locked and will work with any region including Australia. The RMAH is also fully compatible."

          Yeah I received the email about the dates of stock arrival and deliverance. Didn't mention UK stock though, not that it matters that much. Just means more waiting time. I did think since they were Australian based that I'd get it on launch day. Pity.

    • Does it say that's it's not shipped in your account/order history or have you simply not received an email about it? My registration got screwed up during my order so my email address is not on their database. Therefore I can't check. They have assured me that my orders are there though. Looks like we'll be receiving it early next week then.

    Hi,

    Can someone please give me a proper response in relation to my order? I have gone mad trying to get a proper response from you guys.

    I ordered the Diablo 3 CE on the 4th of April.

    Last week when I enquired about the status, I was told that stock would arrive between the 14-16th of may and would be shipped as soon as it did.

    On the 15th I was told that it had been shipped, though I did not receive an official confirmation of shipping. I had even requested that I would pay extra for express shipping but was told that it had been shipped already.

    Then, on the 16th I got a reply that you’re still waiting for stock to arrive.

    On 17th avro (today) I got an automated reply that the CE has been shipped. When I enquired about this, I was issued a refund via paypal and got a confirmation of cancellation in my email. I had never requested a cancellation!!!

    I sent another email and I was told that my order was actually shipped on the 16th. When I asked about the paypal refund, I was then told in yet another email that the item was not shipped but cancelled.

    I again enquired about the reason for cancellation but all I got was a reply that the order had been cancelled. NO REASON WAS GIVEN!

    I have no idea what is going on. Every day I got a different response, from the same person. The person who has been replying to me all this time is TAMARA.

    I want a proper explanation as to why was my order cancelled. I want you to ship my order ASAP via express post or I am going to the consumer court. This is totally unacceptable.

    I have all but lost my patience in this regard simply because I was deceived and made a fool off in the past 3 days.

    Please give me a contact number where I can call you guys.

    I want immediate action.

      I have been given replies by Tamara also. Yes, they have very poor communication. I have to enquire a few times about the same subject before they actually answer.

      I have received an email about the item being shipped yesterday, as did others from what I can tell on facebook. I did see someone post asking why they received an refund even though they already had received an email about shipping confirmation (Maybe that was you?). It appears to be an isolated case. Haven't seen any other complaints regarding the same issue. Maybe they were annoyed with you pestering them every so often? Whatever the case, highly unprofessional.

      I certainly would not use GameWave ever again and would not recommend it to anyone else. Piss poor service. However, to to state that they are scamming would require a little more evidence perhaps?

      Hopefully the products come through. I saw someone post on their wall that they received a collect card in their mail box. Hopefully not a puppet.

    Now, these guys have deleted all my queries from their facebook page and blocked me from posting, and no longer reply to my emails. That phone number of theirs always goes to voice mail.

    What can I do ??? I ordered more than a month ago and the CE's have sold out everywhere so I can't get another one. These guys still have stock but are selling it for $260. That's why they don't want to ship it to me, so they can sell it for a higher price.

    Why else would they remove my query from their facebook page and then go BLOCK me for posting there? That's a clear indication that they don't want to deal with my case at all. By booking the CE with them over a month ago I made a commitment. By holding my money for over 6 weeks and then canceling my order without an explanation, what else would you call it if not a scam? They have jacked up the CE prices and it's in stock on their site. So it's pretty obvious that they don't want to sell it to me but wait for some other buyer to buy it at more than double the initial price.

    If they would have given me a proper reason for the cancellation I would have accepted it, but to block me from their FB page and stop replying to emails? This is unacceptable. I did not even post any offensive or bad words.

  • Looks like people on facebook have not received their physical copies either. It was stated by "Brett" the products would arrive on Monday latest.

    I'm not assuming anything at the moment and hopefully everyone receives their copy. However, perhaps this post may serve as a buyer's beware for reference in relation to future GameWave deals posted on OzB.

  • Let us wait another 1 or 2 days, if still not received and get no response, I guess we should join deathjr and lodge a complaint to consumer court or fair trading. I ordered a CE so even a full refund would not be enough to cover my loss, I have loss the opportunity to buy a CE from any where else.

  • as promised it should have arrived on Monday, which is today. empty promises were made, i think im just gonna file a dispute with paypal if it doesnt come tomorrow and get it off bigw/dicksmith who has it cheaper. will never, ever, ever deal with them again.

      same boat as you, I still don't have it; kind of annoyed that it's broken promises, I would've gone to another site to get it in the guaranteed two weeks rather than "gamble" over this 1 week site. I just lodged a claim through paypal, it should've come on Friday frankly but I know that's really pushing it. Still, I ain't happy.

      I've been keeping a constant eye on their Facebook page and I've noticed that they have been taking down posts which demonstrate a sign of concern about their service. Also posts which link back to this thread have been taken down. Really annoying.

  • Now gamewave are completly ignoring our posts on their facebook wall and emails, I ordered on the 4th of April, already passed he 45 day paypal dispute, what can I do in this case??

    • Good point. Haven't looked into the dispute yet but if its 45 days then I'm also in strife. Pre-ordered on the 3rd and 4th.

    Update: I received an e-mail reply from them saying that there may have been some delays from the "fulfilment company" that they passed their orders to. In summary, they said it should come this afternoon (Tuesday) or on Wednesday. In the meantime they have given me a $5 refund (to be credited within 24 hours - didn't say whether as online store credit or to my PayPal), and they also gave me two free guest passes. So I'm downloading the client now and plan to use the pass as a short term solution to this problem. Still want the physical copy soon.

    • Hmmm did you have to email them for this to happen or will everyone who pre-ordered receive this? I haven't received an email from them and have noticed from people's stories that they treat each customer differently.

      Don't really mind waiting as long as the products come through. Besides, can't really get CE from any other place at a decent price now. But if the standard editions don't come by Wed, I'll be sure to pick it up some place else.

        Also, item just arrived in mail =) So everyone else should be receiving their's today, and in the worst case, tomorrow.

  • Well I got an email form them last night with a 10 dollar refund and some guest passes, and thankfully an aus post tracking number. and according to tat its on-board with driver and I will be getting my game today. finally.

    so if you got the 10 buck refund email check if they included a tracking link too.

  • I finally got my diablo 3 CE…looks nice, they kind of made up for it at the end by giving the $10 refund and guest passes, and I got a good price $112 less 10 so its only about $100.

  • I acutally bought another CE from EB just incase gamewave doesen't deliver. Anyone from sydney want to buy it from me? I bought it for 139+10 delivery, if no one wants it I'll return it to EB

    • Maybe try contacting deathjr. He/she got their CE cancelled from GameWave for no apparent reason allegedly (see above). I'm sure he/she would be interested.

    Sounds like most people have finally got their copy. Mine still hasn't arrived, received the $5 refund and a guest pass, not that that does me any good.
    Waiting 2 weeks for an item that should have arrived at the latest of the 17th is a joke. Wish I'd just bought the damn key from Blizzard from the start.

    My item has not arrived yet, and replies are sketchy from them. Not really acceptable- they should actually make some effort to communicate if a pre-order is this late.

    How do paypal disputes work? I'm thinking of sending one before the 45 day period.

    • I haven't got mine as well. Not sure what is happening. I'm based in Sydney so I don't see how it can be delayed for so long.

      • Thats a worry. Sounds like they have a different company actually fulfilling the orders, the sydney shop aren't actually touching the copies. I'd guess its being sent from the UK, hence why its taking so long.
        Check what the date stamp on the envelope is when you actually get it.
