First poster, but big fan of OzBargain.
Have been keeping an eye out on this one and missed out on the DJ Black Friday sale at $263.20 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/654677).
Noting the disclaimer from Build and Play that it is for builders and not collectors, but this is referring to the fact they cannot guarantee the condition of the box (i.e. potentially minor scratches).

But you can't build a real typewriter.
I think it's amazing what they've done with Lego to mimic the mechanisms and looks of a typewriter.
That's why I bought it, and I had fun building it.
My personal fav is the bonsai tree… it’s so zen, even in lego form..
Eh, I wouldn't know anything else about cool lego sets, this popped up on my radar because of my unfortunate fascinations with keyboards and fountain pens.
I found this one to be interesting with how they managed to imitate the key travel and movement of the carriage.
I would love to see Lego try to replicate IBM Selectrics, but that's an electrical typewriter and the complexity of the machine is definitely something. The mechanical digital to analogue converter in it is something that I do admire (from afar, since I cannot afford another hobby both in terms of money and in terms of how much I can fit in the house).
