    Double black and gold are atrocious imo, green is the best of the Johnnie Walker line up and we all know its because of that splash of Caol Ila that gives it it's smokiness.

  Had this in the cupboard (gift) and drank it when I ran out of everything else.
  It's quite boring after a while, one dimensional flavour and I find it has a chemical taste after a while. Pretty disappointing stuff.

  Is this the best whisky for this amount of money? No, go get an Aberlour 18 or Lagavulin distillers edition instead. Is this the best whisky to gift to someone who thinks they like whisky but has no taste or idea? Yes.

    Benchmark for an upmarket blended whisky is a Chivas 18 which is around $100. Streets ahead of Johnnie blue. I'm not sure where they get away with charging what they do for this.

      Imo the Chivas Extra/13 is a lot easier to drink than the 18.
