Old Solar System (Sharp Panels) - Where and How Should I Sell Them?

I was a really early adopter of solar PV. At the time, 1.5 kW was about as big as a residential system could get.

Anyway, we outgrew the old system, and it's been upgraded, but the old system is perfectly fine.

My question is, where should I sell it, and what sort of price should I ask for?

I'm thinking a farmer could use it to power an electric fence or a water pump - anything off grid basically.

Can anyone offer some advice regarding where I can see the old panels and inverter?

    They are worth about $0.
If you're lucky you might get a couple $20-$50 a panel on gumtree or Facebook marketplace

  • Zero value, you might interest people with an off grid requirement, but mainly to avoid disposal costs
If it still works, just leave it in place along with the new.

If you have a shed put it on that, run some crypto mining rigs

  • There’s places you can recycle them

  • FB market place for $0

Not that easy unfortunately but a nice offer.

  • Makes a nice desk

      Seen them on Reddit.

      They look pretty cool.

  • Gumtree them. Someone will take them away.

  • If you know anyone who owns a property outside the city you are in then ask them if they want it and if they do then get them to come over for a BBQ where they supply the meat, beer, salads in order to get ride of it for a few bucks (free BBQ).

  • Gumtree or FB Marketplace.

$20 each if you want to be stuffed around.

Free if you want them gone quickly

  • Is it still installed?
