Reviews on Travel Agencies - eDreams and Opodo

Hey folks

Looking to book a flight to the Middle East early January and the cheapest by far for travel on Qatar, Emirates and Etihad that I can see eDreams is the cheapest.

Has anyone used these websites before and what was your experience with them?

Don't do it. Especially during these covid times.
If anything happens, you're going to have great difficulty trying to contact them.

  • I got my ticket from Opodo. Yes, it's hard to get in touch with them. It takes ages over the call and chat to get in touch with the support.

  • eDreams and Opodo are the same company.

Read the T&Cs very very very very very very very carefully. They're cheap for a reason.

  • I used eDreams once for a ticket, needed to refund it. Terms and conditions of the ticket never said it was non-refundable. Airline's website said it was refundable.
eDreams refused to refund. Issued chargeback through Paypal, and eDreams won even with my screen shots, emails, etc all showing it never said it was non-refundable. Finally issued charge back through Amex with proof, Amex decided in my favour and issued charge back.

I won't use them again after that, but I'm sure my 1 situation is rare and they're probably fine for most people.

But as other's have said, during these times it would be silly to book a flight unless you're 110% sure you're going to go there and return on those exact dates.

    • Just curious, in an instance like this, does PayPal come after you for the debt?

      • I expected PayPal to shut down my account for this, but they never said a word to me and my account is still active a few years later.

  • I've used eDreams before; they're legit

I didn't need to make changes or cancel so can't speak for how difficult that might be going through their support team
