During the Steam 2021 Winter Sale, users can claim 1 free animated sticker from the Steam Points Shop every 48hrs. There are 7 animated stickers in total to claim. They are untradable and unmarketable, meaning you won't be able to sell them on the Steam Community Market or trade them to other users. No purchase is necessary to partcipate.

You can also claim a free Steam Winter Sale trading card every day by going through your Discovery Queue. Thanks to @Freezies for pointing that out.

Additionally, by voting at The Steam Awards, you can earn up to 10 trading cards (from the set of Steam Winter Sale Trading Cards, same as the ones from the Discovery Queue) which are marketable and tradeable. Thanks to @upliftcontrol for pointing this out.

How to claim:

• Log into Steam (application or through web browser works fine)
• On the main page, you should see below 3 featured games a button saying 'Claim your free sticker!'
• After the redirect to the Steam Points Shop, scroll down a bit and you should see where you'll be able to claim the sticker.
• Enjoy.

    Steam stickers can either be used in Steam chats with others or can be displayed and animiated on an user's profile through an item showcase. That's basically it.

        As a storefront and community, absolutely I would prefer to use Steam even if it's just badges and stickers. I'm still a part of way too many communities from the source days.

        I'll take Epic's free games but I would still rather use Steam compared to Epic Game Store.

      There are still cards. You get them from going through your discovery queue as per usual.

    You can earn cards to craft the sale badge by voting for the game awards (10 votes, 10 cards).

  regret doing this. worthless stickers are permanently bound to your account with no way to remove them, support wont do shit. how come useless PSAs like this are allowed on this forum
