Does anyone know any optical shop that actually offers decent prices for high index transition lenses without needing to buy their frames? A lot of shops won't even make the lens for you if you don't buy one of their highly marked up lenses these days. Does anyone know any shops which are reasonably priced for just the lens alone or is running a sale at the moment (without needing to buy their frames)?

I don't care about brands for the lens. Doesn't have to be a Hoya or whatever.

The price looks reasonable as they don't upsell for different brands. I went to a local optical shop yesterday, they had Bonastar, Hoya, Essilor, Carl Zeiss…..from $2xx to $1xxxx for pretty much the same thing.
I also found Costco to have very good pricing on lenses (but I am not 100% sure whether they will fit lenses in old frames.)
Shoot! They seem to only have stores only in NSW, otherwise they would be a good option.
