  • I also got the bonus. Does anyone know how to make a transfer from the savings account in online banking? I can't see any option to add payees or anything like that. I got the feeling that I need to open a transaction account first before I can transfer …

    • Nope you don’t have too. Just on a safari webpage on your phone access IMB. Then from the account drop down there should be payments and transfers.

      Then you can select external transfer and add payee that way.

      • Thanks for the info. Strange, I don't see that option using Chrome. I only see Pending Payments and Authorisations under Transfers and BPAY. Anyone here having the same issue?

        • I called them this morning. Had the same issue. They need to change view access to full access for internet banking.

    Also, did not receive the bonus and called them up this morning. Was advised that my deposit was on the 8th day therefore not within 7 days, which was due to 1) their start date being when application was launched and not when I received the formal email with member number (I signed up over weekend and got email Tuesday so 2 days lost - unable to do anything without a member number) and 2) their transfer was not instant so deposit only landed on Monday instead of Friday/over weekend (another 2 days lost).

    The lady was nice and understands so she has flagged with their marketing team but not hopefully. Lesson learnt I guess, though it is partially my fault.

    • Just spoke to IMB and they confirmed that I did everything right, deposited within 1 day of account opening, and that the bonus should have been paid. They're not sure why it hasn't gone through so they're escalating internally to another team and someone is due to call me back. Now need to get my wife to call and do the same, sigh

    • Just an update - IMB ended up paying me out the bonus so props to them. This has definitely required more effort than $50 was worth!

    I havent received my $50 reward bonus as well, so I just gave them a call this afternoon. The lady said she will inform the marketing dept and ask me to please check again on next Tuesday.

    So far this bank havent meet the my overall customer experience. The first issue I had was with their procedure with the OSKO payment and the second one is I need to call them to get the bonus reward. I cant see myself using their service for future transaction.

    Can anyone please tell me how easy/difficult to close this IMB account ?
    Do we need to call or it can be done via online ?

  • I called them today and they said the promo does not apply to previous members. So even if you had an account, closed years ago, you're still considered a member.

      My partner was with IMB as their main account for well over a year (both transaction and savings) until I seen they were paying a $6 monthly fee. A few months ago I changed them to another financial institution and closed down the IMB. They opened up the reward saver for the promo and received it.

  • Got the bonus but I don't know why anyone would stay with this bank because the onboarding experience was a mess.

    • You need to do a normal bank transfer to the account or you'll have to go to a branch and be identified in order to receive payments via PayID/OSKO even if you've completed electronic identification.
    • My profile was setup as 'view-only' so I didn't have all the features on online banking like paying someone so I had to call up and get that fixed.

    Felt like I was working to get the $50. 😂

    Has anyone cancelled the account? You call them or email from within their Internet Banking ?

    • Spoke to them on their chat function within the app, they said it was closed a few days ago but is still visible on the app, apparently takes 90 days to drop off.

      • i can't see any chat function in their app or in the Internet banking portal.

        Didn't want to waste time calling them.

        • I’m using iOS, login and click the 3 lines (hamburger) menu in the top left. It’ll say “Want to talk to us?” and when you click, it’ll open up a messaging platform

          • @rzg: I see. I'm using Android and there is an option "Contact Us" option. It's just displaying the hotline number.

            Can't believe they've implemented different UI for 2 platforms.

  • I emailed them yesterday "How do I close my account" and they closed it. HA HA. They did not even bother confirming or asking for a reason.
