Worth Switching Providers for Cheaper nbn?

Hi,
I've been looking at various NBN plans, and have been tasked with possibly finding a cheaper alternative to our current Optus NBN deal. I don't know the full details of the current plan, but its basically $110 a month for 100/40 NBN. Its an older Optus plan so we still get home phone, Fetch TV with 1 free channel pack and Optus Sport.
Looking around, most similar deals for NBN seem similarly priced, or not much cheaper considering the extra perks we get on Optus. We have switched before to a cheaper plan and it was a nightmare, I want to avoid switching to anything where we might have issues eg. Poor customer service, slow response etc.
The main reason I was asked to look around is that we don't use the home phone anymore.
Do you guys think it's worth switching? Currently the Optus plan is working fine, and I understand we would need a new router as we using the one that Optus gave us.
Thanks.

Do you watch anything on Fetch TV? Yes = keep your plan. No = switch to another provider.

You won't need a new router.

Most providers will offer specials for up to 6 months on a discounted rate for new customers, due to passing through nbn promotions for signing up new customers. Based on that, it's worth finding 3 RSPs you're okay with and churning every 6 months to end up on the sign up promotions.

The pricing given to the RSPs means they're only able to offer you the cheaper rate for 6 months, so then change to another provider who can give you the next 6 months at a lower price, so on and so forth.

All NBN comes through the same way irrespective of ISP retailer. The differences are the package and support and the cost.

Not true. The amount of CVC the RSP pays NBN for and the RSP’s network are absolutely a point of difference between RSPs.
