Komodo 1 Seat Inflatable Kayak $99.99 + Shipping ($89.99 Delivered with Kogan First) @ Kogan

100

Might have been a few curses come out of my Ozbargain mouth when I saw this. I bought the same kayak for my other half 4 days ago for Xmas. Would return and go for this, but we are away tomorrow and so would not get it in time. So might as well let you guys enjoy it.

Can't vouch for these inflatables are yet to use ours, but they get good reviews. Consensus is, not surprisingly, you won't be running any rapids in them, but they are also alot easier to transport than the real deal.

You get free delivery too via the free trial of their First subscription membership. I've done this free trial before and it seems you can be eligible multiple times as I used again recently. Expect they rely on people forgetting to cancel so put a reminder in your calendar.

These are a clone of the Challenger K1 kayak. The do a decent job for calm lakes and rivers .
Do not use them for any days that are windy. You are pretty much paddling an inflatable air mattress.

the paddles are also not the best but its a good hobby design.

  • We used something very similar to ummm get our feet wet with kayaking before eventually buying some rigid ones. Quite usable, but do think about getting an electric pump to make the setup less of a hassle when you arrive at the water.

The drag is higher than a rigid one, but that's OK for general paddling around just to be on the water.

  • OP,
You should buy this one and return it to the other store when it arrives.
    Same model no worries.

Don't understand how there is a market for these inflatables. Why wouldn't you fork out some more and get plastic.
