Eufy 2k Battery Doorbell scratches...(What Is This Part of The Doorbell?)

Cleaned the doorbell a few weeks ago and just noticed as I walked in the door the scratches and scuff marks on the top part.

It doesn't look like its protective plastic but just wanted to see if this other owners know what the top part does if anything?

Worried I scratched a sensor or something 🤣?

Looks like clear panel for infrared receiver. Should be fine.

  Only used a soft microfibre cloth too. So sensitive it seems!!

Most likely where the IR LEDs are located. I doubt the scratches would be a problem.

It's just a transparent panel that allows the actual sensor to see out the housing.

    In absolute terms under laboratory conditions, possibly very very slightly. In practical terms in real world use, I very much doubt it makes any difference.
    
    As long as you haven't noticed it's motion detection abilities have diminished since you scratched it, then I wouldn't worry about it.
