Samsung Care Plus Non-Return Fee Amount

For those who have done a swap of their Note 20 Ultra or S20/S21 Ultra, how much did Samsung care plus quote for the non-return fee?

(I know the swap fee is $149. Trying to work out how much more it would cost to get the refurb device and still keep my old device)

  • Trying to dodgy the system? :)

  • Interesting to get idea. Let us know if someone had an experience. :)

I believe we get brand new phone when we swap with fee. Why do you mention that it is refurb ?

    • Check tnc. You get refurb

      • It's not refurb. It's new or refurb.

If they can send a brand new device, they will - but if those are unavailable, you'll get a refurb.

Yeah, that makes sense. Mine is anyway bespoke (custom) which ideally cannot be refurb. Cheers

  • @benandfaith, have you found the info you were looking for? I am now after the same info..

    • Someone replied on whirlpool telling me that it's the retail price of the phone. So for my 256GB model, around $1600.

I've also read lots of horror stories about it taking more than a month for the replacement to arrive (citing stock issues), if at all. In the meantime, they've already taken your money…

  • Is it worth having Samsung care? Does JbHiFI provides samsung care ?

    • I came across this thread, and thought to share my recent experiance with Samsung Care +.
I purchased my phone via Samsung in March 2023 ( pre order) and added a Care + plan. I dopped my phone last week and screen was smashed upon impact. I lodged a Swap request, simple 5 mins claim process online, paid $243, and recieved new / refurbished phone in 2 days. Smooth and hassle free experience, thank God. I think its worth getting a Care plan, because Only the screen for s23 Ultra would cost me $490. and I paid arund $124 initially at the time of Pre order as it was included in Pre order deal along with many other bonuses. And still I have another swap remaining til March 2025, for $243, I ll get a new/Refurb device. And TBH, the replacement device I recieved, is Brand new. Cant tell if its a refurb or not.
If you dont want to go with Samsung Care +, you can use this insurance service https://www.asurion.com/
they are official Samsung Care + providers too.But I would prefer Samsung
      cheers :)
