The one at Bunnings is actually a smaller size.

      • Yes, we were looking at buying one, but one of the cats is quite large. Probably need the Doggie door instead (or this).

        • I'd suggest you mark out the size on a piece of paper. Then, cut it out to get a good idea of the opening and see if your cat will be okay with it. Keep in mind you don't need a lot of excess room for your cat to go in and out.

          • @FourPaws: Agree, cats do like to scrunch up. The whiskers are, generally, the indicator the cat can get through the gap.

            • @try2bhelpful: Agreed. I was told many years ago if a cat can't get it's whiskers past the opening the they won't go through. May be an old wives tale, but it sounds good.

              • @FourPaws: I’m amazed how small a gap my cats squeeze through, even the pudgy one.

    $17.69 delivered on ebay

i have the smaller version. my cat is too stupid to work out how to push the flap with its head despite hours of pushing the cat through the door. had to remove the flap.

    • Now that it is used to going through the hole, try a lightweight flap - like paper. Maybe using treats to entice it. Then as she gets used to pushing through it slowly add a little weight. Until you can put the actual flap back on.

    • They all tend to be like that in the beginning. I, usually, wedge the door open to give it the idea of going in and out through the gap then, finally, lower the flap. We have one that, now, takes ours at full tilt. You can hear the bang as it hits the door.

must be funny when you latch it.

We don’t latch it. Vet bills are expensive.

    • That's one of the funniest things I have read for a long time. And there I was thinking my mum's cat is stupid. Might have to buy one, just to compare who has the stoopidst pus.

    4 way?

    • Forward, Reverse, Left & Right ;)

    • You can have the door closed, entry from both sides, entry to inside only and exit only.

    • I like how we can control how the cat moves. Looking forward to spinning it around in circles.

  • I recommend the Staywell type that work on your cats microchips. That keeps other cats out. Expensive, but worth it if there are other cats around yours have fisticuffs with.
