Best Running Shoes under $100?

I've seen a few good deals for cheap running shoes on here the last few weeks, but they sell out quickly.

What are you running from, Gavin?

      Bad health.

Now that lockdown is over and I've gone out a few times, I've realised how unfit I became the last 2 years.

Defs try it in person before buying if you can - v personal choice.

  • I've always liked Nikes because they suit my feet (big and wide) - you can usually find plain black ones for <$100

reebok floatride energy 3's are on special at wod life for $75

    https://www.thewodlife.com.au/search?q=floatride%20energy%20…

for the price you won't find much better than that… its a pretty decent daily training shoe with a decent pebax-based floatride foam.

nikes in that price range tend to just be thin EVA soled ones with heavy uppers like the revolution. There is a few pegasus 38 colourways on the nike site for $127 at the moment though.

also… have a look at couch to 5k, and seeing if you have a local parkrun or other social running group around you.

    • This.

I've got a Reebok FFE 2 for ~$60 a year ago and definitely one of the best running shoes at the price range. Floatride Energy 3 at $75 is great price — might go cheaper later but won't have many sizes. Also Floatride Energy foam is TPU-based (rather than pebax), which is similar to Boost.

There is no single best running shoe. They need to be fitted to your feet and running style.

  • If you are using them for running the ones that fit best and suit your foot type. That is different for everyone

  • Look at catch/kogan they seem to have great deals.

I use https://runrepeat.com/ to find deals for shoes in my size. Doesn't include Kogan but has Catch.

There's no single best pair but if you are planning to get into running then you probably want something cushioning and durable.
If you tell me your shoe size happy to suggest a few sub $100 shoes.

If you haven't measured shoe size recently good to do this for both feet.
    https://www.theathletesfoot.com.au/how-to-measure?
I only recently realised one foot was slightly bigger than the other (by 1 size). So I've been buying shoes which are too small for several years.

  • If you are planning on doing regular and large miles, its worth investing in your running shoes as your ankles, knees and hamstrings will thank you for it

In my opinion, higher price normally does equal a better running shoe.
