Price Hunting for Samsung Galaxy A52S - Any Advice?

Hello guys, how are you doing? Hope everyone is well.

Okay, so I've been hunting A52s since I missed the $371 deal from Samsung education. Seems like the lowest price I found is $436.75 from Samsung education with the 50 bucks coupon.

Should I wait for the lower price since S21 FE is gonna be realised on 4th Jan? Or would be sold out as the Violet colour is already out of stock?

Sorry for my English and hope you understand me.

Thank you !

  • Let me consult my crystal ball and get back to you

  • Poco X3 pro

Or a Xiaomi or real me is your best bet

  • The leaks suggest the FE may be region-limited and expensive. I've been waiting out for it but it looks like we'll just have to wait a few days longer! It'll definitely be miles better than an A series.

The Samsung A52-S looks like the last best phone.
It's still got the Headphone Jack and microSD slot. We lost User-Removable Batteries, but IP67 waterproofing is an acceptable tradeoff. Not to mention, this device has a flagship processor, a flagship battery, a flagship display, and a flagship camera. Maybe not the best in 2021 standards, but definitely competitive against 2020 and 2019 flagship devices. It's far superior to midrange phones from this year, like the Xiaomi Mi10t/Redmi X3/Poco F3. So when you think about it in that context, if a flagship phone costs $1k - $3k, then this is great value at $500 or lower.

This is the last best phone, since Samsung is removing the Headphone Jack from their entire lineup for next year. And the successor to this model will have a downgraded processor. All of next year's devices will have lacklustre processors, since the QC 8g1 is a first-gen ARMv9 chipset and all the leaks show it is underwhelming. This happened last time, back in 2015 when the QSD 808/810 failed to compete against the QSD 801/805. Also next year Apple is going to remove their Lightning Charger and SIM card tray. Go all-out portless for no reason besides sticking it to the European Union. I fear Samsung will copy them a year or two later.

ASUS looks like a decent brand still, but no presence in Oz. Sony is still the best, but way overpriced. If anyone buys this phone, you can guarantee it will work very well, with 3-years of updates from Samsung. By that time, we should hopefully get a worthy options to upgrade to.
