Food Processor for Almond Milk under $100?

Looking to make my own Almond milk every few days. Will be needing at least a litre per blend.
Will be using a filter bag to squeeze out the pulp and then use the pulp for baking. I see there are
specialty machines but I'm only waning to spend upto $100 on a machine that can also be used for
other things. I have a standard blender and also a 'ninja' but they don't chop up the nuts enough.

What do you guys use that works to get the most creamy milk out of the Almonds?

    A very small milking stool?

  • Playing soothing music encourages a larger and creamier flow, well it works when milking Jersey cows.

  • Tablespoon of 100% almond butter in 500ml water in ninja

    • Way too expensive? I'm looking to buy bulk raw almonds or load up when on sale.
Will be using 1 litre every 2-3 days.

What are the economics of this? How much do you think it'll cost to make 1l of almond milk?

        • That depends on how many Almonds you use. If only matching store bought 2-7% the cost savings are realised when comparing.
Plus you retain the pulp for other applications and you are getting different more natural, fresher product minus unwanted additives.

          • @figarow: It'll cost about 40 cents per tablespoon of almond butter to make half a litre

            So about $1.2 per week.

  • What did you go with?

And why a FP? Wouldn't a blender be better?

    • Gave up on it, too much work. Just buying it now.
