I’m after some sleeping bags. Are these any good?
I have this in my swag and I LOVE it. I'm not a fan of traditional polyester/silky linings; the Mudgee has a jersey/flannel-type feel to the lining so it feels just like snuggling up under a doona at home. There's good height in the loft so I find it cosy. The outer is a similar type of fabric so I guess there is a bit of heat escape, but I'm a hot sleeper so tend to have one foot outside anyway. I love the second zip at the foot end for the aforementioned reason.
In my swag (Darche Dusk to Dawn, on a stretcher) I've slept in south WA (various times of year), central and north WA (July-Septish) and been pretty comfortable. I do carry an extra blanket (BlackWolf Outdoor blanket, now discontinued) in there to help warm up at the beginning of the night but after that I'm just under the sleeping bag.
I have had two of these for few years. The C rating is about 5 degrees off. That means C0 rated is likely for 5 degree condition. Also pack back to the bag can be challenging.
