Ordered a Oculus, on its way. Just wondering how I go about using the referral program? Do I need to be Facebook friends with the person or do I just get a link from a random? And can I do it now before I have the device?

Oh so you don't get the $30 from them straight away?
Mine appeared before the 30 days, but the terms say you have to be FB friends for that period of time. Perhaps just don’t delete the Referrer until that time period has elapsed.

I've referred three friends and in all cases they get their USD$30 straight away- but I had to chase Oculus for mine each time.
Also note that your USD$30 bounty as the referer gets added to your account 30 days after they use the headset for the first time- not from the order date.Interesting. The last referral for me came almost immediately and I'm pretty sure they had the headset in hand. Previous ones took ages.

You can use the Wiki to get a referral. You need to be FB friends with the Referrer for 30 days, although the credit appeared before that in my Oculus Store. However you need the hardware serial to put into the Oculus website, so wait till it is delivered.
