Receiving MMS on Dual Sim S20

I have had my S20 since a little after release and am using an eSIM for data and a physical SIM for calls and text. When receiving an MMS on the physical sim I used to be able to download the pic/vid/voicemail no problem. Lately in the last few months it no longer lets me download the MMS unless I swap my data over to the physical SIM. I haven't changed any settings on my phone to think of and auto download is set. eSIM is Telstra and physical is Woolies.

Does anyone have any ideas to try out to fix this or has had it in the past?

    Does it download if your turn on WiFi? Doesn't solve your problem but might confirm which sim is not cooperating? Are the APN settings for an eSim the same as a normal sim?

      Wi-fi doesn't change anything unfortunately. I have never changed APN settings on either. I was thinking maybe it might have something to do with Woolies using the Telstra network it worked before but they changed something to have it not anymore

      The APN settings after just checking now are different

    Same configuration back then i.e. Telstra esim, Woolworths physical, data default via esim?

      Yep same config, I haven't changed any config on my side other than updating phone/apps but don't recall it breaking after an update

    The general consensus from my googling says you need the data for the Sim receiving active, however for the last almost 2 years it was working having the other Sims data active
