Best Service to Transfer USD to an Exchange to Buy Crypto?

Where is the cheapest service to buy crypto in USD. I’ve used Up and Revolut but the fees are a little high. Would Wirex be a good option?

*edit SORRY I worded the question wrong - where is the cheapest service to transfer USD to an exchange and then buy Crypto?

  • Use a reputable onramp > swap AUD 1,000s to USD stablecoin > Tx to cold wallet > swap with DEX when needed.

  • Bit late now

It's late for people that have a 5m time horizon.

People that have a 10Y time horizon doesn't concern themselves with the daily price action.

    • True didn’t think of that but still if there is a way to save on the transfer it’s still worth it. What do you use to transfer USD?

      • Decentralized and non KYC.

Buy and sell bitcoin for fiat (or other cryptocurrencies) privately and securely using Bisq's peer-to-peer network and open-source desktop software. No registration required.

          Decentralized and non KYC.

ignoring the KYC part (I'm kind of a fan of those making significant CGT on crypto to pay the same CGT taxes as those that make significant gains on any other investment class), thats a very fee heavy way of transferring from fiat to crypto

          • @SBOB: I can’t imagine why governments would seek to regulate crypto!

            • @mskeggs: The feds will as soon as they follow the CCP with a CBDC.

The LNP can then spy on the ALP and the rest of Australia all they want with impunity.

  • Do you already have USD you're trying to get into an exchange?
Or converting from AUD to USD to get there?

    • Yeah I want to convert AUD to USD then send the USD to an exchange.

      • I don't see why…why not aud direct to crypto (either stable coin like usdt or btc/eth etc directly)

What is the point of a currency conversion step?

        • Good point I should have mentioned that. The exchange only accepts USD.

          • @bobwokeup: What exchange possibly accepts on usd incoming and not things like stable coins (usdt etc) (and what could it possibly have that isn't available elsewhere)

            • @SBOB: It’s for Okcoin. They do accept cryptos but you won’t get the sign up bonus that way. Needs to be bought so the best option is to deposit USD and then buy any crypto.

              • @bobwokeup: Binance will get you the most amount of USDT/UST/USDC etc. for your AUD. Fee free.

I'm sure that you can then transfer this over to Okcoin via a low gas fee chain like Tron or BSC. If they only accept transactions using the Ethereum chain then you can use FTX, they'll lower the transfer fee down to $5USD if you get it at the right time (or free if you buy and stake 25 FTT).

                • @supersabroso: Yeah that would be a great idea but for the sign up bonus it has to be a purchase not a deposit. I use FTX (formerly Blockfolio) to transfer crypto as it’s always free.

OP is worried if they put their money in this crypto, nobody will be willing to buy it when they want to leave.
A very valid concern with high interest investments of all types.
