Good price on this large 20,000mah power bank. It has a lcd screen that shows charge % and voltage/amp when something is plugged in.

I use one for my quest 2 and it works great (have it in my pocket). I also use the slow output port so not to stress the quest 2 battery since you are charging/playing at same. Depending on what I am doing, it on average loses about 1% every 10 minutes using that port.

  • Seems to have a few reports of being faulty

As an owner, yeah they're dogshit. Will randomly stop charging (whether that be after 30 seconds or 30 minutes, you don't get to choose). Will constantly do this for no particular reason. Requested a replacement on Amazon, Romoss said they'd send one but never did then ignored me. Got refunded through Amazon.

I have this SW20PS+ and the 6PS+ - Both 20,000. Haven't had any issues with either. 18months or so now.
Must of got a bad one

        • Must have*.

Nope, standard complaint on the product page for my one. Thought they must have gotten bad ones as well then got my own and it was the same.

          • @Tacooo: Some people will get bad ones, it's electronics. Majority or reviews on products are from people that have had an issue as most would never think twice about writing anything if everything is working. To someone buying one and it being faulty is a 100% failure rate, in the real world, there are probably 10s or 100s of thousands sold and probably has a FR of <1%.

I have had 0 issues with mine. Every product will have ones with issues but you also dont know how people are treating them either.

    • Same hear been close to a year and no issues

    • Yep, same here mine works a treat.

    • Same. I have 2 and they worked well. I reckon sometimes or more likely due to the cheap crappy charging cable not so much of the power bank.

  • Mine was faulty too; refunded by Amazon, will not buy again.

Wish I could find a brand/model that outputs native 12v or 9v, does anyone recommend anything?

  • Romoss products have gone downhill. Owned one. Faulty as f*

  • I've had the 20k, the 30k, and I'm rocking the 40K now, and they've been fine for me. Maybe I got lucky?

    • Small minority have had issues. Can happen to any electronics.

Agreed, but ignoring a customer when they report an issue is unprofessional and unacceptable.

        • -1

Indeed. That's an issue for Romoss to sort. Though it would seem Amazon had stepped in thankfully.

          (I don't work for Romoss)

  • I've got 2x of the 30k and 1x of the 20k, I can't complain about the 30k both have been rock solid for me (1 purchased in Nov 2020 and the other Dec 2021) I use them when i go camping to charge iphones, ipads and gopro and will sometimes run a USB fan off it or charge the lamp.

The 20k one though I've had issues with not charging the apple watch but it could be the software on the watch when it goes to sleep and some other random issues where the charge will be completely depleted rather than cutting out when at 100% on an item.

    Models im ref to are:
    20k (PTM20) - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07TYW7YZ4/ref=ppx_yo_d…
    30k (‎SW30+ / SW30 PRO-AU) - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07TYW1FPT/ref=ppx_yo_d…

  • mine works fine until 2 years later and it swell and puffed up really big

    • +3

Any chance it was leveling up from a 20k to a 30k capacity?

  • This is crap for Oculus Quest 2 as it's only 2A output. You need at least 2.4A to keep it charged while playing. I have a 4A one works awesome. With this one the headset will likely still go flat before the PB does.

    • With mine I lose about 1% (of headset batt) for every 10 minutes while plugged into the slowest port. Which is more than enough and I'd rather it go slower so less heat genereated.
