Only good if sold on eBay or Amazon. The shipping kills the deal

$5.50 for Standard Shipping, otherwise Click & Collect is available from their store locations.

    • Unless you live near the stores I’d say wait for the next sale on eBay or Amazon lol

Choice pens when shirts had a pocket, now just go for the freebie bunning's pens

back when everyone wore ties to work with cartoon characters on them, and hard brief cases :D

    • i still buy shirts with pockets …. need place for glasses and work ID pass when outside of the office at lunch time ….. don’t always want people to know who you work for yet people walk around at lunch time with the name and place of work proudly displayed …..with pocket just pop pass into pocket …..

    $5 shipping for syd metro

be nice if you live in kensignton for pickup

this has a black anodised steel barrel right? not plastic?

    • Yes. I have one which I found on the street. Nice pen, just need to take care not to chew the end.

  • Thanks Op. Ordered with free click & collect. :)

  • funnily enough the refill is the same price as the pen

    • +1

      That is sad

    • +3

It's the printer ink and toner model.
Cheap printer initially makes you buy expensive ink refills.

    • +4

These use an international standard sized refill (ISO G2 Refill or Parker Style G2 Refill). G2 is the designation that ISO gave to the size of the refill, it is not referring to Pilot G2 pens.

  • thanks Op, got 2 to be collected at Alexandria.

  • +4

TBF to them you can buy 2 and the postage is still $5

so $7.50 each when you buy 2…. ehhh…

goes to $7 postage for 3

  • Thanks OP got 1

  • Shipping is $11 if you buy 3 or more (vic)…

    Bond. Jotter Bond.

      Hallo Pooshy.

      • ^^ say this aloud 😂

  • Thanks OP, bought 2 + $5 postage.

  • Not as good as it used to be. Bought one last year, the ink leaks badly, always end up with ink on my hand when using it. All my cheap ones don't do that.

    • +1

Which refill are you using, the best traditional refill is the qunkflow medium. Should at least last you a year with constant writing. Other refill are junks prone to not work or overflow or just doesn’t last as long as the traditional ones.
I stopped using them when they switch their pen production to China, the main difference from the ones in England is the cap and click.

      • Agree that Quinkflow is the best.

I have this, it doesn't write very smooth, and have to press down a little harder then other pens to get it flowing. i like the body of the pen, maybe it can take other better ink refills.

a great ball point pen is jetstream or inkjoy. it writes smooth and doesn't take much pressure. downside is the body isn't as pretty or sophisticated. this is a great choice if want performance over looks.

    • I use Monteverde inks for Parker pens.

(The gel (P44) ink I got was made in Japan.)

      • does the gel ink dry fast. i really hate the g2 gel ink, it smears like crazy and doesn't dry quickly like ballpoint pens. gel writes smoother, but i find it takes a long time to dry.

        • does the gel ink dry fast.

          Not that I can see.

      • This. I always replace the Parker refills with Montverde ones. They write much smoother

    • Been using Lamy Studio Rollerball with the M63. Writes smooth and never had any issues.

Got a Lamy 2000 coming as well. Having a quality writing instrument makes a world of difference if your writing copious notes during the day.

Keep trying to switch digital, but nothing is as satisfying as writing with pen and paper.

  • Are there any fountain pens I can use with carbon copy paper?

    • No, you need a quill for that.

    • lol, people still use carbon copy paper?

you wouldn't want to use a fountain pen for that, you have to press hard for carbon copy paper to leave a nice print. fountain pens are more finesse and lighter pressure or you can really mess up the nibs.

      • Yeah it's a pain and the copy in the book just gets chucked out when done

    • There were nibs that were designed for that kind of purposes. That however is going into vintage territory which gets super messy with uncertainties with private sellers, condition of the nibs, etc etc.

I personally would just stick to a ballpoint pen for making carbon copies.

    Their shipping prices are weird.

It's cheaper for me to do 2 seperate orders of 2 pens each ($5.50 X 2 postage to WA) than it is to do 4 pens in the same order ($14.00 postage).

  • While shipping kills the deal, they also had Parker refills for $5 of which I needed a few, so it worked out okay. Bought 6x$5 items so hopefully saved a bit considering it was stuff I already was meaning to get around to buying.

  • Shipping is a rip-off too … it doesn't cost $5.50 to send a pen to Metro Melbourne.

    • i can believe it costs $5.50 to send a pen to melbourne as they send it in a box, so it’s box and postage, not an envelope, but it doesn’t cost $11 to send 3 pens …. as they all fit into the same box size and weight category.

I can’t believe people still use pens and pencils this day and age lol

    • Nothing provides the tactile response of pen on paper — yet.

      • +3

Says the guy who has to e-sign everything from detention… lol

      • There are definitely options out there. I personally found s pen with felt-like tip fairly decent in terms of writing experiences. I am sure people were saying things like those paper like screen protectors work wonders for the writing feels, but I've also heard that it makes the screen look awful.

I have heard Supernote does something funky with their screen (self-recovering soft film) which apparently mimics the feel of ballpoint on paper.

    • note pad is quieter than laptop keyboard in meetings and don’t need to worry about battery. have been in meetings where manager has requested people don’t type due to noise, and some managers don’t like people with open laptops as people do emails instead of paying attention to presenter ….. or online shopping as the presenter is boring ……

also if doing diagrams, unless you have a tablet with a pen …..pen and paper is faster.

      • I would rather not use a pen but as you go up in seniority you end up signing and writing stuff on and off

      • i built a custom mechanical keyboard with silent linear switches exactly for that reason, lol.

    • Guys relax. Meant to be a joke. I have a pen collection… if that says anything about my love and affinity towards pen and paper lol

  • Grabbed 2 thanks op

  • grabbed 2 thks, would have gotten more if wasn’t for the $11 for 3 vs $5.50 for 2 postage.

    Ebay back in stock

    • ordered Monday morning from their website, Sydney metro, today is Thursday and my order is still processing, their website says dispatch can take between 3-14 days.. on eBay they say "Will usually post within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment." So lesson learned, don't buy anything from their website
