  • What size are the motors?

    • they do not seem to list those specs on their site:
      http://www.onexzone.com.au/ONEX-GDE1600H-DH.html

    • +1

sent a message to the onex FB page. they responded with 200kg weight rating…. and couldnt give me the motor model.

      • they responded with 200kg weight rating

So should adequately support 2 people…

        • Or one fat one?

  • A bit of information missing from the website, or maybe I am not looking hard enough:

    What is the warranty?
What are the operating parameters? (lowest/highest the desk goes)
Can that big logo part be removed from the desk? Is it even part of the desk?

  • On the JB website:

ONEX GDE1600DH includes a Mouse Pad

    Key Fetures

Dual Motor Construction for smooth and efficient movement
It features Eco-Friendly Smooth Carbon Fibre Texture Desktop.
    Balancing, Self-locking Protection & Anti-collision System
This desk is suitable for your work-from-home area, gaming setup or office space.
    It measures 1600 W x 700 D x 720-1160 H mm.
It has a steel construction with a carbon fibre texture for a smooth feel and durability.
It has adjustable levelling feet for finding your optimal field of view.
It has an assembly time of 20 minutes.
A 12 month warranty is included.

  • From Onex website: 72 to 116cm range

    • yes, this is also listed on the Costco website under specifications and in the post description above.

      • Yeah, I didn't quite spot it :)

  • This or one of this https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08K8S1SFM/ and sourcing my own plywood table top ?

  • +3

Put a bright sticker on it => GAMING.

Also, I got this one: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ergolux-dual-motor-3-section-le… and it's been great. Easy to assemble too.

Makes me a bit nervous that there's no weight rating.

I know when I had my PC, ultrawide monitor, secondary monitor and peripherals on my desk, I was close to the weight limit of an Ikea Bekant sit/stand electric desk (70KG from memory).

Upgraded to an Artiss dual-motor variant with 100kg+ rating and have no issues.

    • Do you find the artiss wobbles when at full standing height ? My single motor version has a wobble when I type when fully extended

      • +1

They all wobble as they have the same telescoping leg design, except one of the Ikea ones is better in that regard but has other big issues. Iirc.

I've tried to find a particular link comparing desks but unfortunately can't. It was by one guy rather than a major review site.

    • Could you post the link to the one you bought?

  • Where do you find a good sized top? Bunnings seem to only have 600mm deep.

    • maybe find a timber supplier

  • -2

    'gaming' yeah nah.

Ive learnt more than enough to not buy from a random brand that decide to slap 'gaming' tag along with the 'gaming' price hike. For the entirely of its description it doesnt even mention weight rating. Hello hello?

    According to their website:

Premium Gaming Office Desks Designed in Australia

yeah 'designed' as in got an chinese ODM factory to build electric desk for as cheap as possible and got another factory to print out an ugly mousepad that would better stay put in the trash.

Nothing against OP, but I would not recommend anyone to buy this even though I have had no experience with it whatsoever.

  • +2

Wouldn't touch ONEX ever again. they don't state any warranty on their products and there is no contact details on their website.
I have 2 chairs, both have the frame poking through the cushion. both started this issue from 5 months. No way to contact them. Seller does not reply as it's past the 90 day ebay guarantee period. Anyone wanna buy a faulty, used ONEX chair? going cheap… (no, not serious)

    • +1

I would encourage you to neg this deal because I think customer service and warranty are part of the product and you had a bad experience with those

    • +3

Costco will assist with any return or warranty related faults.

Costco warranty is better than the warranty from a desk manufacturer.

  • That font triggered my epilepsy !

Minimum height of 72cm might not be low enough for everyone from ergonomics perspective. I am 180cm and find my desk suitable at 68cm so 72cm would be uncomfortable for me. Also, these heights are measured to the bottom of the tabletop so you also need to take into account the tabletop thickness (mine is 20mm).

    • -1

      72cm = minimum height.

You can raise the desk up to 116cm high.

      • Please read my comment again. I am emphasizing on this desk not going lower than 72cm (not higher). My desk goes to 66cm which I absolutely love.

        • What desk do you have?

        • Sorry, I misread the 68cm. Unless, you don't use gas lift chair. Otherwise, raise your chair up till you feel comfortable.

          • @langthang: Everyone has a different suitability for chair, armrest and desk height combination. This is why having broader range of heights on desk will ensure you can achieve optimal ergonomics.
