Dunno about specific but I'd come home or put one on and be like "how the f.. did that happen?".
This was like going to dinner and other mundane outings.
Wasn't the washing machine because it'd happen before wash (typically wash jumpers once a season on gentle).
Not insects either. Have some older Country Road merinos and they're fine (just worn out old age).
Yes there have been posts about this in the past with these merinos as well as kathmandu merinos and a few others. Apparently according to the way some / most are made, they eventually get holes in them (and i mean quite quickly at times), one of the stores i forget which actually tried to palm it off as a useful cooling feature as well as natural part of the texture and hence you know you are getting good material if that happens to you…haha, I dont think that was received well by the customers. Its a shame as i like the feel of merino jumpers but frankly one of the ones i had bought on a previous sale (and i had bought like 10 of them) got a hole after like 2 or 3 wears. I havent since checked the other jumpers for fear of what i will find.
@lonewolf: Yeah I bought like 5 when similar deal went up in 2020. Two v-necks, two crew necks and a zip up one.
Really like the jumpers but the holes…
Probably bum around the house in them come winter.
Interestingly enough I also used to have a CK merino jumper that developed a hole on the front.
I didn't really blame the jumper though - figured I must have gotten it caught on something at some point. Cause how else would holes form?
