Yeah the Mygenie brand tipped me off to it being maybe a bad robot vacuum cleaner.
Back before the Xiaomi/Roborock smart vacuums existed I had a similar dumb one from iLIFE. It would just go around the room randomly bumping into everything. It certainly cleaned where it went but it couldn't clean a whole room like you can now with floor mapping and LIDAR.
Which one did you end up getting what do you recommend now for just cheap floor mapping and LIDAR.
Might pick one up for work and one for home.
@AlienC: When they're on sale for $499 the Viomi Alpha S9 UV is the best value as it comes with the lot. Strong suction, LIDAR, floor mapping and an auto empty station to name a few.

Bought several of them before and all were BS. Don’t buy , instead use the normal vacuum cleaners from Kmart; cheap and efficient.
It sucks.
It's rubbish 100%. Cannot pair it to the Smart Life App, and a waste of money.
My selling platform MyDeal, well only computer automotive generic emails, won't honour the ACL Australian warranty.
So I've reported MyDeal to various government departments to follow up their business practice.

Gotta love that fake RRP. It's an old school robot vacuum cleaner as it has the remote instead of a phone app. Also lacks LIDAR for navigation so it'll just go around the room randomly missing a lot and probably uses a bump sensor to avoid obstacles.
