Royal Comfort 1000tc Cotton Blend Queen Sheet Set (1 Sheet, 2 Pillowcases) $20.99 + Shipping ($0 with Kogan First) @ Kogan

100

Seems reasonable deal for a fitted sheet, passed the wife's scrutiny test so that must count for something.

Stumbled on this as I am using 14 days free shipping with my Kogan First account, went to clearance and sorted by biggest discount, but when I clicked this one which was $34.99 it had take 40% off the listed price so $20.99

it is 1000 thread count and 60% cotton 40% polyester - won't suit the fussiest but good for visitors/spare/dog sheet i dunno…

    40% polyester. No thanks

    • Could be worse. My sheets are made of 100% plastic.

      • How do they get away with calling it “bamboo”?

No top sheet either. No deal.

A sheet set consists of a top & bottom sheet plus two pillow cases,so this is not a set.

I bought a 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton Queen set from Kogan last year that was also Royal Comfort brand and it was really bad the weave was loose and the fabric super shiney enough to make me think it wasn't pure cotton or had been treated half to death, in the end I sent it back. I'm not saying these will be the same but be weary of this brand and tbh be weary of high thread counts as once you get over about 700-800 unless you are paying top dollar they aren't counting the threads in an honest way (they are counting threads twisted together to make the real threads that are actually woven)
Trust me you'll be way happier with good quality 700 thread count (the weight means more than thread count) than a cheap set claiming to be 1800 thread count even if 'legally speaking' they are being honest.
It is somewhat subjective just hoping this will save someone wasting money only to eventually realise to a certain degree you get what you pay for. Target used to sell great quality cotton sheets that would go on sale a couple times a year but I'm not sure if that is still the case? Anyway just something to think about and good luck :)

This is the current equivalent. It’s not quite as good as the old egyptian ones (which were far better than even sheridan) but still very good.

I love Target's products, they are always great value for money especially when on sale, they are truly bargain ! That applies to their clothing as well, better style and quality, they are like the affordable department store to me, I am sorry to see them closing down.

      • Definitely polyester fabric -
I purchased something similar from Kogan just before Christmas and I could tell the weave fro the outside packaging that it wasn't worth opening so had to return them. I agreeTarget brand products are heaps better and better for the environment!

  • 300-400 thread count is the optimum.
