Scoopon Voucher for 3 Nights Away at Salamander Bay

paid $175.00 for scoopon voucher for three nights away at salamander bay … paid then printed it in september and put it away as i had 12 months to use it as i thought…. i was very wrong it had to be booked and date taken before the 28th march had friends coming from the USA ….great we go to salamander for the weekend how wrong was i….i 2 weeks over due and they would not honor it… lost the bloody lot SCOOPON STINKS WILL NOT DEAL AGAIN

          Old or young, rich or poor, it doesn't matter… If the gift card/voucher is expired, so be it. It is no one's fault but your own for not reading the T&C.

      To be honest, think everyone is being a bit hard on you but you're not helping with your responses either. Truth is I doubt you will recover your money.

      Am I right in saying you had to book by 28th March but can use for stays up till September?

      If you speak to mgmt at the hotel they might be able to help, but that is at their discretion.

      You have zero chance with Scoopon to recover anything.

      And yes scoopon does stink, which is why I dont use them either

    Okay, so you are going to fair trading. Do yourself a favour and get some help with your written presentation. Yes, it is a rant, but the main problem it is hard to understand.

    You'll lose anyway. And that is the fair thing.

    If you buy a packet of fresh chicken and leave it in the boot of your car in summer until the day before the use by date, are you going to blame the supermarket for your mistake and claim it should still be fresh since the use by date is a day away or will you take responsibility for your actions/inactions?

    Do you reckon you have no responsibility in this matter?

  • Thanks mick i did ring the resort on feb 17th.. and told them i had friends coming over from the states in april.. the young lady then told me about the easter block out period and said to ring back when i had a proper date .. when i did that ..I WAS TOLD I WAS TO LATE MISSED OUT BY TWO WEEKS THAT IS WHY i AM ANGRY… NOW THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF MY CONVERSATION DIDNT HAPPEN…. THANKS ANYWAY FOR YOUR CONCERN…… CHEERS

      Your attitude doesn't do anything to convince people you deserve any sort of compassion. You've made a mistake in sreading or not understanding the terms of the voucher. When it comes down to that, the general opinion of most people is that the end user is at fault.

      A number of people have provided you with some options on a course of action, but your attitude to them is to blow them off.

      If all you want is compassion, I highly doubt you'll find it here.
