Headset/phones

Hey guys, I recently received my HP promotion beats headphones, and have seen reviews on them, and apparently they are garbage.

I have not opened the box or plastic wrapping yet, just in case I decide to sell them and buy another pair.

Has anyone been using theirs or purchased a pair? How are they? Worth $100?

On the other hand, what would be a good pair to buy from $50-100? I want something that looks good, sleek, and is durable.

The microphone on the cable was something else that seemed pretty cool, is this common?

Thanks for any assistance, I'm not really an audio guy, just a PC tech.

In my opinion i dont think you can buy better headphones for $100 - i think the garbage factor is more to do with their retail selling price and the fact that there are far better options in that price point

  So for $20 they are a steal and will do the job perfectly? I'm not fussy by any means, just want something that isn't shitty earphones, but also looks good, and these have the added bonus of a mic. Might just rip the box open!

Ad700s + Zalman Mic —> Comes to around $160 if you live in Australia, or $125 from Amazon (delivered).

Ad700s are long considered the best bang-for-buck headphones.

They do lack a little in the bass department, but just change your sound settings if you care about it that much lol.
