Man I feel old suddenly. I remember this game like it was yesterday.

How good were they! Really loved the time splitter series.

Yeah great games. But it was released back in 2001/2002!

Well damn! Got me feeling old now haha

Cool, wanted to buy these last week but couldn't justify $15 for games I already own on Gamecube.

This game can't be played on the xbox360.

    • Oops, thanks. I thought OG Xbox games worked on 360 too.

  • I never played these but a piece of trivia I picked up was that the were made by some of the same developers that made Golden Eye on n64 (maybe that's common knowledge as I checked the wiki and it's in the first paragraph)

Yeah can tell with the health bar in time splitters looking very similar to 007 theme

  • Is there still an enhancement for xbox one? E.g will it play in 1080p?

    • +1

My understanding is that Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox Series S consoles play OG Xbox games in 1080p.

  • How good is the multiplayer on this? I have a bunch of Xbox's for LANs that I run, how does this compare to Halo for LAN parties?

  • Do bits still do that slide move in multiplayer that players can't do?
I spent too much time playing this game…

  • Anyone know how well these work off disc in backwards compatibility? I've got the OG Xbox copies in a box somewhere, wondering if I can dig those out or if it's instead worth buying them here?

    • +2

I’d say they will but for $3ish I’d save your time

    • +2

Even if you pop in the disc, you'll still be playing the game off the hard drive since back compat games are always downloaded from the servers, disc games included. The disc just acts as a license that allows you to download the game.

      • Huh, I had no idea that it worked that way!

As much as I enjoy the nostalgia, I really hate playing 4:3 on a modern screen.

    • Future Perfect supports wide-screen. Downloaded it and looks great. Not sure about TS2 though.

I'm surprised how good the textures are in 4k too for an OG Xbox game. 60fps too. I used to have the game on Gamecube, but the OG Xbox always had the edge in the graphics department.
